Do people outside of Texas know what Dairy Queen is? (or is that Whataburger?)

We have a Dairy Queen in California. And there is a taco place in Perris that was a what a burger at sometime in the not to far distance pass.

( Congressmen should wear uniforms like NASCAR drivers, so we can identify their corporate sponsors.)

I believe that Dairy Queen is nationwide.
I have only seen Whataburger in TX, though.

They do. What-a-Burger came and went quicker than the bad taste left after eating one. Nothing can beat DQ soft serve on a hot day. A cone swirled up too high to stand for more than a few minutes...outstanding!

Not sure about Dairy Queen, but both restaurants sure make some good chow!

AFAIK DQ was started in Illinois. I know they had a corporate HQ here in Western Pennsylvania and that led me to believe it started here but I was mistaken.
They now have a corp HQ somewhere in the upper midwest. I think, Nebraska or Minnesota? Maybe they were bought out and moved, I really don't know.
FWIW DQ has spread pretty much around the world last time I checked. I'm leaving work now. When I get home maybe I'll do some research. I loves me DQ!

It's Whataburger.
Dairy Queen originated in Joliet (IL). Except for the Prison that closed in 2002, I think it's the only thing that's ever been there.
