I assumed Perry was competent. The debates are demonstrating to me that he may not be. I’m still a Perry supporter, but my support is soft.
Palin has the opposite problem. Too many people assume she is incompetent. She needs the debates to demonstrate she isn’t incompetent. One or two good debate performances aren’t enough. She needs to run the table on the other candidates, not because of the Republican nomination but as a build up for the general election. I think there’ll be enough debates whenever she can reasonably be assumed to declare, but still, the more the better, IMHO.

Palin needs to “demonstrate” this through these idiotic debates? Where her opponets would be mental midgets like the texas two-some of Ron “freakin” Paul and Perry???? Laughable.
Son, if you think Perry has a serious chance of becoming President of the United States, I have a lot in a real nice part of the swamp that you should take a look at.
I think the debates are needed by those who need the "face time" and enhanced name recognition - Sarah does not need either.
And I don't think she wants to wade into this current mud-slinging where each Republican hopefull is more focused on ripping into each other than the Zero.
They have pretty-much been taking swipes at each other - Sarah has not dinged them, nor has she been dinged by them.
Sara is wise enough to know that debates run by the liberal media types will not show the truth. I think she will debate on her own terms, in a fair and honest debate.
To be honest, these so called "debates" would horrify my high school debate teacher. These are merely liberal media firing questions which are planned to make the conservatives look stupid.
Those of us who are listing to Sara are hearing her fire back great answers to those questioning her in public appearances. She has already proven herself in that respect.
