That’s creepy, lol.
My sentiments exactly :)
Thank you, ladies :)
What a nut ball.
Disgusting!
But that doesn’t change how amazing she sounded live...
He doesnt remember where he put his shopping cart.
I missed that line the first time around. LMAO
I know! If this gets wider distribution, she will be eliminated. People do not like being lied to.
Then why didnt Tom cruise help her career?
See, this is what I don't get either. It seems like she has all the right connections to at least get, not just a foot, but her whole leg in the door. I have to think that with all her connections if she can't make it, then there is probably a good reason.
James Barbour's Holiday Concert Welcomes Guest Star Stacy Francis 12/12(2009)
Stacy Francis is ready for her close-up. She has performed live with music icons including Chaka Khan, Madonna and Prince. She's drawn rave reviews for starring roles in hit musicals on Broadway, released albums and toured the world as part of a major label R&B group, and played featured roles on network television. Francis has somehow managed to fly under the radar through it all, prompting her friend Will Smith to say, "I can't wait for the world to discover Stacy."
The wait is over as she steps into the spotlight with her solo debut album, Shine. ....
...All phases of the development and recording of the album-including sessions with celebrated songwriters and behind-the-scenes moments with Stacy and her circle of famous friends-will be filmed for The Making Of A Diva, which will air as an episodic series on cable television.
..."Looking back," Francis says, "I see that's how I got used to performing in front of an audience. I've always felt truly comfortable onstage, much more so than in a studio."
The immediate feedback of live performance energized her, and her love for it translated into lead roles in school musicals and, when she was 16, membership in the R&B/hip-hop girl group Ex-Girlfriend. The first of the quartet's two albums, the 1991 Billboard Top 40 R&B title X Marks The Spot, was the debut release on Forceful Records, the Warner Bros. imprint launched by Brooklyn hip-hop icons Full Force. Their first single, "Why Can't You Come Home," was a #5 R&B hit. The group toured internationally and went on to release It's A Woman Thang in 1994 before parting ways.
Francis' next triumph was starring in the West End production of Mama, I Want to Sing opposite the legendary Chaka Khan.
During her run on the London stage, Prince came to see the show, and invited her to perform with him at an after-hours club where he was holding court. Every night for a month, between the hours of 1-7AM...
Back in the States, Francis had the opportunity to sing with gospel greats CeCe Winans and Shirley Caesar-two of her lifelong inspirations-in a production of Born To Sing at Madison Square Garden....
.....Her credits on the Great White Way also include parts in Street Corner Symphony and the hit musical Footloose, in which she originated the lead role of Rusty.
Francis left Broadway in 2001 to move to Los Angeles and explore a career in acting. Her credits include roles in the network television series Third Watch, Fastlane, Yes, Dear and Strong Medicine. "I love every aspect of the entertainment industry, being an artist is the most amazing thing ever. But my first passion is singing, and I realized that what I really needed to do was make a record."
“I liked her too. I dont get the hate for her. Id rather have 30 like Rachel Crow then 1 Astro (I cant with that name).
Same here. “
Like her singing ability.
Have to tune out her “ head bob sister move” she used in her last performance, that reminds me of what she might become after the sweetness of childhood disappears.
” AstroTurf “ has already crossed that line.....
Thanks for the background on Stacy Francis.
Would prefer they just open the show by stating:
You will see some seasoned , veteran, performers mixed with some true newcomers who will be given a chance to see if they have what it takes to be a star on this show, and in the entertainment industry.
Enough of the sob stories.
There are true heartrendering challenges in the viewing audiences lives that are more trying than some of these.
It’s one thing to have professional credits to your name (the majority of AI people have had prior albums, local success or done theater, etc.), but it’s a whole other ball of wax to claim to be a poor down-trodden, beaten up by life and your ex single mother who has to sing in the bathroom after your kids go to bed just so you “don’t die with [your] music still inside.”
Every story is sort of tweaked for dramatic effect, but she just outright lied.
Agree.
As more people become aware of this I think it will have an impact on the voting for her.
Yes, please leave. You are too sophisticated to put up with American pop culture. You must be fun at parties cuz you’re so much fun on this thread.
The best Glee ever had the two girls both singing Someone to Watch Over Me (was it?) or whatever they sang and kept switching but both same dresses. That was a great episode imo. I don’t even know characters’ names on Glee. Hope that’s what you were commenting about.
Well, glad to find out about Stacy. This area is HQ for sci’s. She’s brainwashed.
LOL--this is ridiculous.
I don't see how anyone will vote for her after this.
Many shows that are taped here pay groups to fill out their audiences. X-Factor is no exception. Our group got, I think, $12/head to show up for the taping.
Now, we are mostly a bunch of old ladies, so they sat us way, way, in the back. They want young enthusiastic folks in the front where the cameras are. That's not unusual.
There were 2 things that you may find interesting:
1) There were some groups that were primarily African American, and they got seated way in the back with us.
2) The other thing that I found interesting is that one of the contestants was a young male, who wrote his own song, called Gender Bender, and he spent most of his time singing and grabbing his crotch. The judges rejected him out of hand as having inappropriate material. I guess this show isn't particularly politically correct, huh?
It’s on tonight, right?
Why am I the only one here?
‘Cause you’re impatient ;)
I’m here!
