“Flubber”, the Robin Williams remake of “The Absent-Minded Professor”. It was mostly dreck, but somewhat enjoyable.

My favorite scene is near the end, when one of the bad guys accidentally swallows the flying flubber. He gyrates around as the flubber tracks through his digestive system, and with his face a mask of distress and the strangled cry of “Oh, mummy!”, the flubber comes exploding out his ass, blasting through the seat of his pants, and flies off into the distance with a slight scream.

I admit to laughing so hard in the theater that I nearly passed out. The kid in front of me looked at me like I was crazed.

It was nice to see Alan Rickman do a non-villain role for a change, too.

Die Hard as Hans Gruber, Charming international bandit. In the end, he dies hard. He's the title character.

The wife and I got separated from the kids at the grocery store once. My oldest “found” us by doing the bird call from Galaxy Quest. Pa-Kah Pa-kah.

I knew it could only be him doing that.

“Mixed Nuts” with Steve Martin.

It's a family tradition to watch it ever Christmas season. We love it. Madeline Kahn in the elevator is hysterical.

Loved the Hit Girl parts of Kick Ass!

I was about to bail on it until she arrived.

“Creeping Terror”

I'm glad I found a soulmate. :-)

A bunch of college guys under a rug posing as an ET gobbling up people. Horrible acting, ludicrous monster, a spaceship full of WWII electronics - but what got me was the premise: Aliens send a device to another planet to sample the local flora/fauna/what-have-you - and report the composition.

Just like one of our Martian probes years later.

King of New York. The Raymond was that it is “shockingly violent!”

It had a pretty good cast. However, hardly any of them put t on their resume. Yes. It was that bad.

Yes, a great example of horrific casting choices based on the guaranteed box office draw of a big-name star.

The films that are well-cast but have a sucky script are worse. Example: Sam Peckinpah's first feature film, The Deadly Companions. What seemed be a formulaic western bolstered by the presence of Brian Keith and Maureen O'Hara just falls flat.

I suppose it was a learning experience for Peckinpah, but it is nearly unwatchable. Pity, too - Keith and O'Hara had very good chemistry in The Rare Breed and the original version of The Parent Trap.

It has bugged me for years when “Plan 9 From Outer Space” is casually refereed to as the worst move ever made. It’s really not that bad and it has a lot of heart and charm.

Truly, “Manos, The Hands of Fate” makes “Plan 9” look like Citizen Kane.

We actually have conservative warrior Michael Medved to thank for the Plan 9 reputation: he and his brothers anointed Plan 9 with the “worst movie” title in their book, “The Golden Turkey Awards.”
