This couldnt by chance be the cat of Chris Squire? Bassist of the legendary rock band Yes? I saw him play Amazing Grace at a show a few years back. Not bad.

Polydactyl! My daughter fell in love with a polydactyl cat and brought him home, but her husband was allergic to it! The smartest cat I ever saw (and most of my cats were Siamese). You throw something for her, and she would throw it back! Sadly my daughter had to give her up, but she visits the cat often. I have a Boston Terrier, and he is a complete gem.

After 9/11 Andy Rooney the liberal statist was on 60 Minutes applauding a tatoo or microchip implanted for identification. Interesting.
Weren't the Germans doing something similar in the last century?

Our poly-calico had the funniest allegiances...wouldn't leave my husband for a minute. He'd take her to work; he'd wad up his jacket on his desk and she'd sleep on it all day, 'til it was time to go home. People who came in for business would immediately ask about her, if she wasn't in the office. She developed quite a fan club. But those paws! They were legendary.
When the health inspector showed up unannounced, it was a scramble that everyone was in on to gather her up and put her outside....inevitably, she'd come around to the front, and come back in, through the automatic doors with a customer, and come sit on hubbies desk on *her* coat. She did that with the health inspector, sitting right there, a couple of times. We got busted. LOL

A nice story but on TV they were touting her microchip under the skin as what saved the day. They already use it for voluntary Alzheimers patients and other medical conditions. Some idiot politician will introduce legislation somewhere to try and make it mandatory.
Save it for an Alzheimer's thread, ok? This thread is about a cat.........

More than one Squires = Squireses? Come on, please, the writer of the article did this twice. What's wrong with it?
Have you ever heard of the expression "keeping up with the Joneses"? Or, in your household was "keeping up with the Jones" the accepted form?

Most folks don't know the etymology of the name "gypsy." In the 1600's, Europeans thought these wandering peoples were Egyptian, hence Gypsy. They are in fact the Romani who trace their ancestry to India (possibly via a stop-over in Romania).
And no, I am not a Gypsy...I am a Viking cum Scotsman!

Hemingway's cats were polydactyls...he was a frequent visitor to a house my wife and I bought and restored in Connecticut. He and the former owner were ambulance drivers together in WWI. They set up a shooting range in the basement.
I regret to this day that I didn't do research on this issue to enhance the value when I sold it.
I didn't know Hemingway, but I read his stories...and I have five cats.

Or, in your household was "keeping up with the Jones" the accepted form? In Billy Clinton's house, it was keeping up with the Johnson...and he never quite may the cut.
But he could throw a curve ball...

Hemingway had a very close relationship with his cats...me too. They are my Buds!
When they are happy...I am happy. And they are always happy around here!

Fascinating story. I have a Calico. She is a stubborn old broad. I can see her seeing something on TV in Guam and just going there. Calicos aren't wired right. Then again, either are any of the other three hobos/cats living here.
