In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".

Obs. A light repast between meals; a lunch.
[OE. bever a drink, drinking time, OF. beivre, boivre, to drink, fr. L. bibere ]
I’m going to have to read you your Miranda (Cosgrove) rights.
They did an homage to Carl from Caddyshack on the last episode. Spencer was wearing the hat and dirty shirt and tending to a patch of indoor lawn. He did not mention that it was a hybrid of sensemilla.
I didn’t have much breakfast so I could gopher some bever right now.
Poor Pawlenty couldn’t even afford a bever, so he’s getting Mitt to help retire his plenty of debt.

We all have our price.
Nice to have rich friends!
Isn’t bever age that epoch where you are allowed to consume alcohol and visit certain “establishments” in the various States?
I’m up, I’m up!

A maised? That’s corny like “A maized”.
Just dropped off some Mac'n Cheese at the station. We have visiting departments cleaning us up and on duty for us. Two ambulances, too. They were raving about it, glad they liked it.
The dust is flying, debris is stacked curbside as residents ditch their belonings, gut their homes. Still trouble with FEMA telling folks we are not a disaster area. I am pretty sure we are. Emotions are running high.
Lots more than that in our flood water......the village sewer plant was flooded and releasing raw sewage....a couple of guys who had contact with flood water were treated for chemical burns....drums of toxic crap were retrieved by Hazmat teams. I am so glad I live on the hill overlooking the village and not breathing that smelly flood smell all day. Bad enough getting a whiff of it while I was downtown.
Nasty!
We got our power back as we are on the same grid as the sewer treatment plant....the NYSEG guy was quite huffy telling me that......I wanted to punch him. I told him we have a lot of elderly that need power for O2. He was unconcerned. Just glad to get it turned back on. I guess the village was adamant that we get the sewer treatment plant back on line....and I surmise that the NYSEG jerk does not live down river from us.
Hmmmn.
Wonder if the burgomeister’s house (office?, relative’s house?) was upstream, or downstream, of the sewage plant? 8<)
What does breakfast have to do with having an appetite for some beaver?
Wouldn't you be having breakfast afterward?
I'm done wichoo, go make me some eggs.
Mr Member, are you erecting a thread this AM or what? ; )
working on it.
