The 2011 Atlantic Tropical Storm season is at its peak with three active systems. Meanwhile, major inland flooding continues from the remnants of TS Lee. Tropical Storm Maria developed east of the Caribbean Sea. Tropical Storm Nate is nearly stationary in the Bay of Campeche. Hurricane Katia is churning in the Atlantic between the U.S. East Coast and Bermuda.

Not here. But I think we have had just as much rain from the remnants of Lee as we did with Irene. Sub-pump died at VOC’s again and had another 3 inches in the basement. It wasn’t yet dry from Irene so it wasn’t any more damage anyhow. Lots of flooding in the area though. Just being careful of where to drive.
Janice Dean the Weather Machine was saying this morning that the bulk of the “models” show Nate running north and hitting around Louisiana.
We need Obama to come to bastrop texas face south and make a speech. He sucks so bad he could probably pull Nate right on shore in Texas. I think he could even generate enough suction so the the upper level windshear would keep Nate from having very high winds.
Nate has sustained 60 MPH winds, expect hurican later this evening..
We are willing to sacrifice Houston for a mid level hurricane.
We need the rain that bad in Central TX.
Plus Houston could use a good bath.
After 36-48 hours...the model spread becomes increasingly large...as
subtle differences in the strength and orientation of a mid/upper-level low
and trough extending from the Ohio Valley southwestward have significant
implications on the future track of the cyclone. The latest GFS and GFDL
models...which show a slightly deeper trough...move Nate northward
toward the northern Gulf Coast. The ECMWF and NOGAPS models depict
a weaker trough that does not capture Nate and allows it turn turn
westward toward Mexico to the south of a building ridge...although it
should be noted that there is considerable spread among the ECMWF
ensemble members.
Looks like we have a Trifecta!.................
Hang in there—you always have a place to stay if you need to escape to Florida. {{{hugs}}}
Katia is a fish.
Well, she may not be good lookin’, but there’s no need to get personal about it!.............;^)
Hmm... Maybe it is the remnants of Katia that is deluging us. I don’t really care what or who, I just really want it to stop.
Thanks! You have a place to stay here if you ever need to bug out of Florida! Hugs to you too!
I think it is remnants of Lee causing your latest flood problems. We’ll know in a few days whether Nate will follow Lee’s path. Same for Maria—whether it stays out to sea like Katia, or moves in along the Eastern Seaboard like Irene.
Texas would take the rain from both storms.
DING!DING!DING!
POST OF THE DAY!! lol
I hope you get your rain. Have friends in TX, praying for you.
It's a calming sight to see NautiNurse at the helm :)
soooo..Maria........will we dodge the bullet again.....or does this one have Florida's name on it?
Flooding Closes Local Schools and Roads in Central PA.
Mandatory evacuation for all areas affected by Agnes flood; river expected to reach 40.7 feet
I hope the one in the gulf sends some much needed rain to Texas.
