Here’s an interesting thought...
What would have become of the greenland vikings if they had had a herd of these meat eating manchurian ponies with them?

Thanks nickcarraway.
Y'know, this would ordinarily be added but not pinged. But meat-eating horses, c'mon!
Maybe I should take a Gallop poll regarding whether this topic is worth a ping. But the mane thing to remember, I hoof your best interests at heart. I'm glad I rein across this, thanks again nick.
To all -- please ping me to other topics which are appropriate for the GGG list. |

Maybe they did and that’s why they aren’t there anymore.

They should have taken some Beefarino with them.

Job 39:19 Hast thou given the horse strength? hast thou clothed his neck with thunder?
Job 39:20 Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils [is] terrible.
Job 39:21 He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in [his] strength: he goeth on to meet the armed men.
Job 39:22 He mocketh at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turneth he back from the sword.
Job 39:23 The quiver rattleth against him, the glittering spear and the shield.
Job 39:24 He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believeth he that [it is] the sound of the trumpet.
Job 39:25 He saith among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smelleth the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.

This is the first I’ve heard of horses in Antarctica-I wonder why that was erased from the history? Anyway, I can attest that horses will eat meat, if only to try it. It seems the ponies would need a higher caloric input under those conditions.

somewhere in the article it mentioned horses eating polar bear meat in antarctica.....there are no polar bears in antarctica

First paragraph. Actually didn’t say the polar bear was eaten in the Antarctic. Probably referencing a previous trip to the Arctic.
I shared a cheese sandwich with my horse once. The bread fooled him at first. Pretty funny to watch him spit out the cheese.

Nothing new there, Icelandic ponies have been eating salted dried fish for a very long, long, time.
