Not when it comes to body weight.
Info on Cher’s lesbian friend and Chastity: http://current.com/groups/culture/89601330_chers-lesbian-daughter-claims-rape-by-lesbian-at-age-11.htm
Yes.
oy vey!
Okay, suppose a Furry goes on the show and wants to be called a dog. Or someone says “I’m Napoleon”.
I probably would have if I had known about it, like I said I do not watch the show.
Really? I meet Sonny on many occasions and he talked about being a Catholic. I cannot recall him ever saying he was into scientology.
One wonders how much abuse, addiction, emotional distress, and mental illness it took to cause such a grotesque transformation. How can anyone look at what happened to that woman and call it “good”?
My understanding is that this unfortunate person Chaz Bono still has her original genitalia. Of course she still has her original chromosomes.
So, really, in what scientific way is she a man?
I think they will lose a lot of viewers over this.
They have no respect for their audience, so typical of how all the elites look down on ordinary people. They are always trying to “improve” and “englighten” us.
That said, I’ll be shocked if Chaz makes it very far. Neither Sonny nor Cher was ever much of a dancer.
SeekandFind you really lived up to your name with those pictures. Who turns themself from a pretty girl into an ugly guy?
How tragic.
This person must be so very, very, deeply unhappy. I really feel bad for Chaz. I also feel very bad for Cher. If it was me I’d have a lot of guilt.
Chastity?!? What a stupid name for a baby.”
Isn’t it weird, I thought that too. And I was just a little kid, well maybe I was about 10. I just thought here is a woman who is a major sex symbol (remember that phrase?) and she names her daughter Chastity. However, Cher & Sonny Bono were a married couple at the time.
I too thought she was rather doomed. Even though I thought it was silly I thought that.
And I like that name “Chastity”. I like all those types names: Prudence, Honor, Hope. There’s a name for those names, but I forget what it is, “quality” names, that’s not it, but something like that.
And I can’t believe I’ve made 3 posts to the Chaz Bono DWTS thread. I must be the real sicko here!
Actually, either of those would be more entertaining, and less awkward.
Her features ARE quite fine - lovely teeth and smile and the blond hair looks very becoming.
Camille Paglia has a short video that you can google in which she discusses how awful transexualism is(Susan Sontag despised it as well)and frets about poor Chastity Bono’s mental health.
It detailed the concentrated, rigorous, almost brutal physical training and rehearsing which transpires to whip the non-professional contestant into shape for the show.
With her weight and her history of surgery accompanied by regimes of potent drugs needed to enable her to be a faux male, Bono (and the network) are courting grave danger to her health and her very life.
This cynical, cruel and amoral exploitation of a human life by all involved for the purpose of ratings, money and greed is a compelling reason not to watch.
It's important to let the network know of your reason for not watching the show as it does no good to merely keep your TV dark.
(I've never watched the show, anyhow, but I WILL write).

I’ve never watched the show, other than one clip on youtube and the occasional commercial. It’s simply not the kind of thing that interests me, and I also find the costumes and style of dancing to be too revealing and suggestive. For those reasons, I am not surprised that Chaz Bono was chosen as a participant.
My parents loved ballroom dancing. They even taught for awhile. The costumes have changed drastically. And it HAS become “dirty dancing” ballroom style. When I still had TV, I would watch competitions on PBS. It was the dancing without the silliness but still had “Ho” fashions. lol
