Look.
I'm pretty happy most days reading FR...
It's the one place mostly-intelligent people meet to discuss important issues with decency, mixed with just the right amount of strongly held opinions.
But for crying out loud, lay off Christine O'Donnell already.
Wow! Who knew that Karl Rove controlled 17% of the electorate in Delaware. I had NO IDEA he controlled that big chunk of the voters in Delaware. I guess that's why President Bush won Delaware in 2000 and 2004. Oh wait - it didn't...
Seriously, Karl MIGHT have cost O'Donnell a couple of points at worst; she ran a poor campaign and earned at least 14 points of her crushing defeat all on her own.
All you say is probably true, but as I posted, she still has curb side caliber “handlers” who are still not professional and is probably too broke to fix it and, yes, sadly, too naive to buck them and stay home. She gave a splendid performance at a Republican womens forum, on CSpan, and they were quite moved by her experience and seemed to love her very much.
Karl Rove & O’Donnell are both morons... Palin was correct to stay away/
Do you mind saying what you think about the reports of COD as the reason for the Palin appearance issue? Was that even true? Frankly, that doesn’t even sound like Sarah. You know the saying, “I’ve been kicked out of worse bars than this!” Why wouldn’t the Palin people take that track? Sarah isn’t responsible for Christine’s poor standing with RINOs. Just wondering, and can’t find a soul addressing that. Other than the usual....Palin genius and clairvoyance. I bet it had more to do with the Palin supporter, Crow, who had been told SP wasn’t running and so was interested in Perry. Talk about a citizen, poor guy was over his head to announce that she wasn’t running. What do you think? Which, or both?
Should we be concerned we’ve now agreed on two things?
I am so not believing Palin even cares about whether O’Donnell is wherever she chooses to go. I just don’t get it, at all.
Seems to me, the whole tempest in the teapot was a bunch of amped-up political operatives. Inside baseball between too-beltway advisors or something. The whole thing seemed bizarre.
I just don’t get how Palin would have the slightest care about this. In fact, I’d go so far as to say she might stand up for O’Donnell. The treatment they both receive, isn’t really very different.
I agree with you. Once again.
“One of our own”? No way. We can do better. Idealogy isn’t enough. She was a weak flaky candidate. She is no longer running for office so you want to support her for what? Her book tour?
I wish her well and hope she sells a lot of books and finds a more suitable career.
Karl Rove didn’t cost her an election. O’Donnell did it to herself (no - not masturbation). It was certainly an entertaining election to watch someone actually putting out an ad claiming they are not a witch.
So we can do better and need to support good strong candidates.
Is this about me calling her a crazy nut?
She’s a crazy nut, sorry.
Why doesn't she lay off US? We are sick of her irrelevance. I appreciate her knocking off Mike Castle, but she then wold not keep her stupid mouth shut during the general campaign. And her claim that she didn't approve the witch ad is not credible. She was either naive or advised badly and went with RINO ad man Fred Davis' fatal concept. (BTW, Davis is now supporting Obama not-so-secret agent Jon Huntsman, which makes one think the witch ad was deliberate).
Which Witch?
LOL
That is cold.
Is that you Jonathan Mosely. (did I spell it right?)
I’d hit but, I won’t let my hard earned cash pass through her hands again.
O’Donnell lost the election. If Karl Rove could lose the election for her, it’s BECAUSE she wasn’t a good enough candidate. If a candidate can be derailed by a pundit, it’s their own fault.
I still think we should leave her alone. She was considered a good conservative, she kept Castle from getting the election. Sarah Palin endorsed her, for goodness sake.
THe only reason I see her getting attacked now is because some people think she is upsetting the apple cart at an amateur-hour Tea Party event.
She was never ahead in that race. There was ONE poll, taken months before the primary vote, where she was 2 points ahead with a huge number of undecideds.
At no point in the last three months before the election did she come close to being ahead of Coons.
He really, really likes his lawsuits.
I think he is a FReeper ya know. Most O'Donnell threads are started by this dude. http://freerepublic.com/~moseley/
I'd hit that witch with my broomstick.

However the misunderstanding is understandable. The O’Donnell cheerleaders for a long time would mislead the readers by quoting that early poll, and ignoring each month’s new disastrous poll results. This dishonesty was the first warning that told me something was very very wrong in this campaign.
