Don't like Perry? How about promoting your candidates positives?
8/27/11 | Listenhillary

We are adults and most on FR are very intelligent persons. I think we can decide if a candidate is right for us.

How about stop repeating the same Gardasil, Texas corridor, immigration stories over and over and over. Most have seen them by now if they have been paying attention. Most have judged the stories and condemn Perry to hell for them or they think that a president just might have different priorities than a state governor.

Screaming at us in all caps isn't going to change any minds. FR isn't the entire universe of voters. We are a very small pool of voters. If you're hell bent on trashing a candidate, it is likely that your efforts are wasted trying to persuade FR posters to change their minds about a candidate. Start standing out by the road with a sign telling your horror stories, pestering people in restaurants and buying billboards and advertising in newspapers and TV. You will have much more impact.

If you insist on cherry picking the negatives, can we do the same to you reviewing every decision and action that you have taken in your life? How would that work out for you? Honestly showing everything you have done, could you withstand the scrutiny?

I realize some of you insist that we are making a horrible mistake. The primary isn't until next year. Stop screaming. OK?

Back when Michelle had a little traction I asked the Palin or Nothing folks why so jackass?

I made a lot of friends.

Didn’t matter my Palin support creds are probably stronger than their’s

It’s the nature of this forum.

Folks like being nasty and bossy and running in a pack and pinging one another to a possible zot...of which this topic has provided a number of notable ones

It’s why our numbers are not what they used to be...self inflicted attrition

I hope you have had fun with your thread and got lots a love

I don’t know why it’s free either. If it were a true democracy, we would vote. And it would fail.

Clearly I know little about Amherst. I’ll take you at your word if that link didn’t provide the grad school, it doesn’t exist. These types of schools are not on my radar. They are Tier 1 due to their endowment, not because of their research. Their academic output is slim — output as in research and contributions to academia. This is the standard. Just because a student attends Amherst does not mean that same student would be able to get into a school like UC Berkley or A&M or U Texas. It’s a different thing entirely. I’m not suggesting they aren’t good schools, of course. No doubt due to their endowment and limited size, the education they provide is excellent — Tier 1. But the entrance requirements will be very different from an actual research university that changes the world once a month with its output. That’s what I mean by the graduate school. That’s what I mean by getting in. Many perfect-score high-school students cannot get in to UT or A&M. Perfect 4.0 (and higher) are sent elsewhere. It is beyond extremely competitive to get in.

D, you aren’t denying that you are the fraud you have proven yourself to be. Nor are you answering any of the dozens of questions people put to you over your prior remarks. You are, just as I pointed out on a couple occasions now, making snarky comments and avoiding the issue. Do you give Freepers so little credit as to not see for themselves what you are doing? This is Free Republic D, not Democratic Underground, a site which I have suspicions that you may be far more familiar with. People can read your prior posts and see it for themselves.

And as a matter of fact, people “are” reading what I wrote. More importantly, they are reading what YOU wrote. You are just upset that you got caught. If I were you, I’d be upset about it too. Now here’s a snarky comment of my own. Back under the bridge with you.

Norm, I'm not upset. I've never been upset. I think that upsets you. I've already told you my personal info is off limits, particularly to a weirdo like you. And I certainly don't feel the need to defend myself against someone like you.

Now, as for that question? You know...the one you said I didn't answer because I was too a-skeered? Hmm..... You never really asked a question, did ya Norm? It's okay. Continue on with your name-calling silliness. I don't mind.

It would be nice if it were up to Freepers to vote in the president. We’d show them.

Nope. Sorry, not buying it. Texas is ranked at about the same level as Ohio State. Well, I live 12 miles from Ohio State, have done some grad work there on and off, see (and in many cases, know) the kids who attend, and let me tell you, it's not that difficult to gain admission.

Okay. Don't buy it. We're on a new thread now. Why don't you come and join us? It's about Perry distancing himself from Bush. We need a Perry basher. Apparently the rest have scattered to the winds. Wonder what happened?

LOL! Get a clue.....

A mouthbreathing halfwit completely devoid of originality or any apparent sentience, whose best "burn" comes from copying and pasting the work of another is calling upon others to "get a clue."

Why should your show of ignorance impress us? A trained chimp can easily be enticed to copy and paste if given appropriate rewards. They also have better personal cleanliness and hygiene than you and are more likely to "keep both hands on the keyboard," if you know what I mean.

Perhaps you would be capable of an original and coherent attack had you not spent most of your formative years upside down with your head in the toilet while on the receiving end of a "swirly."

Along with your cognizant capacity, your physical development was surely arrested by this trauma as evidenced by your maniacal challenges to "throw down" issued from the safety of your mother's basement where you wallow within the grotesque safety of your soiled "teletubbies" pajamas.

Now run along and give your "screamingfist" a rest before you go blind.

None of these candidates is perfect. I am bothered that Cain caved in to the Muzzie lobby. I am bothered with Bachmann’s fib about attending her family reunion. I am bothered by Palin’s endorsement of McCain. But none of these failings compares with the long string of completely anti-conservative positions taken by Slick Rick Perry: the Gore and Giuliani endorsements, the Gardasil maneuver, the Trans-Texas maneuver, the pandering to La Raza and CAIR, etc. I can’t see how any conservative can fall for this guy’s con game. He is not to be trusted.
