The concept of submission is a bit more nuanced than our feminist sisters understand.

Exactly true. I grew up with 4 sisters, a mother, step mother and full set of grandmothers and great grandmothers. Respect for women was instilled in me every day of my life. That said, I've also learned that in a relationship setting, most women like a man to take charge in some situations. The trick is in learning where she wants to sit back and let me take control and where she needs to stand on her own.

Submission does not mean unequal in this sense.

I think the correct term is “SUBMITTED.” There is a big difference between “submitting” as in “surrendering/giving up any independence” and “submitting” ideas, plans. There is very little “submission” in a wife in her proper role, but a “submitted” wife knows how to submit decisions, plans, opinsions, and ideas to her spouse in the interest of comity and agreement.
