The life expectancy for NFL players is grim.

It's not just NFL players, it's also large men in general. There something about being at or near 300 lb that puts a lot of strain on the body. I'm not medically qualified to make an exact explanation but I'm willing to bet that this has a lot to do with it.

Certianly true. I don’t believe carrying that much weight is good for the circulatory system.

But I also think that repeated blows to the head are related to the early demise of football players.
