For All The Cat~People of Amy's Place
Negotiations

It is not often that Mother drops her protective airs and allows an audience
Of Barnyard Animals and Humans to view her darlings who are trying to make some sense
Of our new surrounding that appear warm and rustically cozy and just a bit daunting
We blissfully ignore the crowd to graciously revel in a bit of blatantly flaunting
Striped Julian's inability to stray from our comfortably blanketed Hearth & Home
As he pops up after a refreshing nap courtesy of the layered hay's many Catacombs
While Snow Ball Madelyn's icy blue eyes scan the crowd for an Animal who'll she make proud
An endeavor that requires strict attention and other attributes too many to mention
Though not too difficult for an attractive Kitten who can create such calming smiles
Sure to become much easier with the aid of clever guile and feminine wiles
As the eldest sister, I am reluctant to turn and see a nod of recognition<
From the tall and handsome Colt I'd chosen days ago, way ahead of mission
For that will only happen once there is some Milk or Food in our wide and shallow Bowl
A wise, yet very discrete gambit to let everyone know just who is in control!

Sovereign is the LORD. Father Israel is in dire straits today, threatened on every side, night and day, many are secular, forgive them Father, they know not what they do. Help them Father, show thyself in Israel that the enemy and all Israel will know it is the LORD that has done it. The LORD is our present help in time of trouble.
Psalm 46:1
King James Bible

I just LOVE your poetry and graphics. One can almost fit themselves into the picture, and hear those felines whispering to each other.

I'm afraid that with everyones lawns dying and becoming sand, and all the sandstorms popping up because of lack of
rain, I can't get excited about going where there is more
sand. LOL!
I'd like to go to a rain forest during the monsoon season now! :)

Maybe next year!

Well, I think this might be the first year we put out the
welcome mat for hurricanes! We had one earlier and it didn’t
do anything here. I hope it’s true! :)

Christ Living In Us
August 30, 2011
The Ironman Triathlon consists of a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride, and a 26.2-mile run. It is not an easy feat for anyone to accomplish. But Dick Hoyt participated in the race and completed it with his physically disabled son Rick. When Dick swam, he pulled Rick in a small boat. When Dick cycled, Rick was in a seat-pod on the bike. When Dick ran, he pushed Rick along in a wheelchair. Rick was dependent on his dad in order to finish the race. He couldnt do it without him.
We see a parallel between their story and our own Christian life. Just as Rick was dependent on his dad, we are dependent on Christ to complete our Christian race.
As we strive to live a God-pleasing life, we realize that in spite of our best intentions and determination, we often stumble and fall short. By our strength alone, it is impossible. Oh, how we need the Lords help! And it has been provided. Paul declares it with these insightful words, It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God (Gal. 2:20).
We cannot finish the Christian race on our own. We have to do so by depending on Jesus living in us.
With longing all my heart is filled
That like Him I may be,
As on the wondrous thought I dwell,
That Christ liveth in me. Whittle
Faith connects our weakness to Gods strength.
Read: Galatians 2:15-21
I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness.
2 Timothy 4:7-8

Without thee, we can do nothing. or is it of our self, we can do nothing?
‘Without thee we can do nothing; we are nothing. In thee we live, and move, and have our being. It is Thou which draws us to Thee. ‘ ...
Thou knows our every thought, help us to be pleasing in Thy sight. We need Thy Word, strength, guidance and mercy, everyday. Thank Thee LORD, that Thou cares for us. Help us to serve thee daily. In Jesus name, amen.

In July August

Let us find a shady wady
Pretty little brook;
Let us have some candy handy,
And a picture book.
There all day we'll stay and play and
Never mind the heat,
While the water gleaming, streaming,
Ripples round our feet.
And we'll gather curly pearly
Mussel shells while bright
Frightened minnows darting, parting,
Scurry out of sight.
What if, what if, - heigho! my oh! -
All the "ifs" were true,
And the little fishes wishes,
Now, what would you do?
Title of original poem changed by me.
