Allen, for crying out loud!, pointing to "what could have been" and "ifs" is not dealing with reality. Those "could have beens" and "ifs" did not survive to the present due to great efforts to make sure that they did not. Primarily the efforts of TEA Party people.
You let yourself get twisted around by DC gamesmanship. Now reassess and get back on track.

In any case, this is hardly the standard I had come to expect from Congressman West.
MY meager standard is: How many bureaucrats will be laid off (not die at their desks) during the next 12 months? Unfortunately the answer is ZERO.
