bump.
this bill doesn’t deserve to be passed.
With all due respect, Mr. West — from what I’ve seen of this latest cave-in, Pelosi Reid and Obama ARE still in control.
This Allen West?
Rep. Allen West Slams Tea Party “Schizophrenia”

But, Mr. West, I expect the GOP-controlled House to completely force the Senate and president to do everything we want.
So say I from behind my keyboard.
So now congressman vote based on “Well, it is not as bad as...”
What happened to integrity?
I am all for coming up with a reasonable bill that can get through the senate, but that is disappointing. The Republicans allowed this to get way too complex. It needed to be a simple cuts in exchange for limit increase. This whole process of committees, and triggers should have been nixed.
So we’ll send you up the river in a bot with a 50 horse motor instead of one with dual 100 horse motors... or - it’s just a slower screw-over.
Sorry, Mr. Westnot good enough.
There is nothing good in this deal.
Deep cuts in defense and medicare if the Congress refuses the SuperCongress recommendations (to raise taxes obviously)??
No more debt ceiling until AFTER the election.
No real spending cuts.
None of this is good for our side, how is this a compromise?
During all this, I am reminded of President George Herbert Walker Bush and his “deal” with the democRATs. He sigend a tax increase expecting democRATs to live up to their part of the bargain (cap spending). Once the tax increase was signed, the democRATs lifted the caps. Republicans are about to get snookered again.

Duh. They still are in control. You just don’t get it, allen. No new spending. Live within our means. Ya just gave the Dems a bunch of money to spend.
I thought they were in control.
what would happen?
umm... they’d spend $100 billion more each year in addition to the $4.4 trillion you’ve agreed to?
umm... thanks?
This proposed deal is an acceptable “START”. Unless we win control of senate & WH, we can’t dictate the terms with just control of House. So I will work hard on 2012 elections helping Tea Party candidates.
Default is not an acceptable option either. So this was perhaps the best deal possible.
Unless we let them win they... uh, win.
“Before conservatives go criticising this agreement consider what would have happened if Pelosi, Reid and Obama were still in control.”
Well, we have a new kid in town...it is called a bipartisan committee on debt reduction. I think we ought to take advantage of this committee and save a few bucks.
If we are going to allow a few Congressman make the difficult decisions for all the others...why do we need a full Congress. We can layoff both houses and just rule by committee. Essentially, the House and Senate have become obsolete in their attempts at covering their own butts.
Oh yeah, since they are dinosaurs and not needed in the new Amerika....we aren’t going to pay their pensions, healthcare and perks anymore. Think of it this way....you may destroy and steal Soc Security money....but, we will wipe your retirement accounts to zero.
Pelosi, Reid and Obama will come out of this smelling like roses and very much in control.
