Who is happy? This is the worst possible “deal” that they can put up for a vote.

I expect the new GOP majority to FIGHT against any increase of the debt.
That is what should be said to him.

That is because they have no intention of cutting anything.
Those are just for show.

We control the MONEY!
The Founding Fathers made the House the strongest branch because it was closest to the People.

He doesn’t seem that stupid. Maybe he is misquoted.

Allen, for crying out loud!, pointing to "what could have been" and "ifs" is not dealing with reality. Those "could have beens" and "ifs" did not survive to the present due to great efforts to make sure that they did not. Primarily the efforts of TEA Party people.
You let yourself get twisted around by DC gamesmanship. Now reassess and get back on track.

He’s sounding schitzoid to me. Maybe he is a hobbit or troll.

"Before conservatives go criticising this agreement consider what would have happened if Pelosi, Reid and Obama were still in control." My guess is not much different, except that it wouldn't have been the big deal that it became.
In any case, this is hardly the standard I had come to expect from Congressman West.
MY meager standard is: How many bureaucrats will be laid off (not die at their desks) during the next 12 months? Unfortunately the answer is ZERO.

...and worse.... what kind of damage will be done to tax policy to ‘increase revenue’....our side has held firm on this issue, and they better be adding structure to avoid this committee from doing just that.
