One of the first albums I ever owned:
My mother did not believe I bought it because of a Taste of Honey. She was -- in this rare case -- mistaken.

(I won't say the album art was exactly a turn-off, either.)

I have Herb Albert in my '69 Caddy ragtop factory 8-track at all times since 1988. The other one I keep is Sly and the Family Stone. Those fit the car.

I was 15 or 16 and had a paper back with a very dark cover. My mother noticed the tittle, A Night To Remember, and tore it to shreds and threw it in the stove. She would not listen to reason. I had to get the same book from the library and show her that it was about the sinking of the Titanic. That was fifty years ago and she now insists it never happened.

I remember my mom and dad having that back in 1965.
I still LOVE Winchester Cathedral
