August 1 marks the 30th Anniversary of MTV. MTV revolutionized the way we looked at music and the VJs were a big part of shaping that vision. We want to know what it meant to you. Do you have fond memories of watching MTV or your favorite VJ?
Well collect your stories through the month of August and post them here on the site as we get them.
We will be accepting form entries starting Saturday, July 30th, 2011.
Entries may be edited and become the property of 80sVjs.com.
“I never would have dreamed at the time that there were still people in NYC who couldn’t get cable!”
Yeah, media capital of the world, and we were watching honeymooners re-runs on Channel 11!
Awwwww!
How *cute*!
Thanks....:D
“Special Forces” is one of the 3 albums he has absolutely no memory of even making...and is always one of the top 3 fan faves.
[along with the other 2 he doesn’t remember making]...LOL
On the upside, maybe he doesn’t remember his “new look” for Special Forces, either.
I kinda figured that...:)
[yes, he even weirded himself out, that time]
It don’t know. If it is a bathroom it looks like a very nice one.
I am watching MTV’s first hour right now. It is kind of funny in some ways the way it looks now.
Thank you for posting that link! Great video. I agree: Graham Bonnet is the man!
