You have dared to post a factual, if non-flattering thread about She Who Must Not Be Criticized, Ever?
Congrats on the next 1000 rely thread. Well played.

Don't shoot the messenger. But does this cause Rick Perry, Mitt Romney and the Messiah to worry or cheer about Palin?
What say ye, Palin worshippers? Ronald Reagan never had a movie do this poorly.
Heretic! Spawn of Satan!
To: Patrick1
Opens in 10 theatres, goes up to 14 the next week?
Of course it’s going to tank.
It needed a wider release. I’ll buy the DVD anyway.

Listening to lies doesn’t help. Palin is just fine as well as her documentary.

Ronald Reagan never had a movie do this poorly. That's because Ronald Reagan appeared in theatrical releases of popular style movies, not political documentaries. His were also distributed by major movie companies, not individuals who wanted to get a story out.

The people who wanted to see this and had the ability to, did so in the first week. It wasn't going to find large audiences in those markets, and there definitely wasn't going to be repeat viewing. So this wasn't unexpected.
Pay-per-view and direct streaming are the best way to reach an audience for a project like this. Social media is changing the way we do things.

I have been following Sarah’s career since before she was named as VP candidate and was one of the few thousand following the “Draft Sarah” website the night before she was announced and KNEW she was going to be the big surprise the next morning, so call me someone inspired by this courageous woman, but not a worshiper. I am praying daily that she enters the 2012 race and becomes our next President.
That being said, the movie is not doing badly. Check it out here in the Political Documentary category:
http://www.boxofficemojo.com/genres/chart/?id=politicaldoc.htm
Right now the movie is ranked 54 out of 104 documented since 1982 and that is only after being out for two weeks in a small number of theaters and I don’t believe those numbers included Sunday’s sales. It should move up several slots before they pull it from the theaters, so will end up at least in the Top 50.
I have NO AMC theaters within driving distance from me, so will check it out on PPV and then buy a DVD in October. I expect very high DVD sales.
To: jrd
not everyone lives in a large metropolitan area where they are showing the movie.Exactly. It's been a pretty limited release. I think many more will watch it on PPV, because it will be so convenient. Smart move on the distributor's part, I'd say.

If she thought for one second that her film would do great with the general public, against Harry Potter and Captain America, then she must be deciding not to run she must be in total denial.Sarah Palin didn't make the movie, and has no control over where it will be shown, or when.

I’d say perhaps they should check the box office before writting ignornt articles like this. The deal for pay per view was made before the movie was released so that it would have more exposure not because it bombed.*eyeroll*
To: Yaelle
Check above this IS NOT her film. It was made about her by someone else NOT her.
