They just followed their own internal policies and procedures. No fault found. The dog would have attacked if it was not chained up. The cop was taking no chance that the dog would unhook itself and attack. Nothing to see, move along.

I have my internal policies on those who would harm my family, too.

You know, what happens eventually in a really “bad neighborhood” is that the residents shoot first at the police because they figure that they themselves are dead already.
