According to its research, negative and stereotypical images of women have persisted Hollywood for decades.

Too funny. Hollywood has stables of women willing to act like bimbos for a paycheck. The only 'bill' that is effective on that moonscape is green in color.

Spend ... more ... money ... There is no end to programs and spending designed to help us to a debt grave.

So the idea is to get liberals who control Hollywood and treat women terribly out of power? How will legislation accomplish that. Of course, if we can have people in Hollywood who respect strong women like Palin and Bachmann, it would be nice. But I oppose legislation for this purpose.

Why don’t you start by telling your colleagues in hollywood to stop the idiotic attacks on Sarah Palin and her family, Geena?

Yeah, that’s it that’s the ticket. There oughta be a law making everyone say what I think they should say in the way I like to hear it. In other words, “shut up”, she explained.

Why should anyone be obliged to take anybody who would get within smelling distance of an idea like this seriously?

It is no surprise that Kay Hagan is involved...she never saw any spending she didn’t like.

What is a surprise is that these women think they have a problem. There has been constant and unrelenting male bashing and denigration going on. We certainly don’t need more of it. Nor should the taxpayers be a part of it.

Yes we need to have more shows with women portrayed as far more intelligent with smart ass attitudes towards their apparently “stupid “ husbands. Yep... that will do it.

I don’t suppose she has noticed that according to the media — especially on TV and most especially on commercials — the absolute dumbest, most clueless people in the world are white males.

The legislation would provide grants ...

If you're already 4 trillion in debt, what's a few million more if it makes Geena Davis and Kay Hagan feel good about themselves? After all, we should be kind to the mentally challenged.

These Congress critters have too much time on their hands. Another feel-good, make-a-difference, useless piece of regulation that ultimately costs money.

Congress should meet every other year unless there is a national emergency. They should make DC into a theme park and charge admission to underwrite the expense. They should establish a new capitol in the middle of Missouri or Nebraska about 30 miles from the nearest Interstate and should live in dormitories while in session.

Then, we’d see a lot of this nonsense stop.

We’ve become a silly country doing a lot of silly things.
