I occasionally watch the t.v. show on TLC,
Little Couple about a married couple who are both "little people". The woman is actually a pediatrician who deals with "at risk" babies. On one episode she talks about her experiences and mentions that in high school she did try out for cheerleading and they allowed her to be on the squad. She found it was too physically difficult for her. Did she sue the school to tone down the cheerleading squad so that she could more easily participate? No, she found other activities in the school (newspaper, student government, year book, etc.), things that she was capable of participating in.
Perhaps this girl needs to recognize that her disability does limit her when it comes to physical activity; but, doesn't necessarily limit her in all areas and perhaps she should try to participate in other areas of school activities.
I agree, the parents suing is a bad example for this girl.
