A court trial in Florida has turned life upside for a 43-year-old man from Darby, Pennsylvania.
His name is Casey Anthony. The "other" Casey Anthony. It's now a name made infamous by the 25-year-old Orlando female found not guilty of killing her 2-year-old daughter.
"After the verdict that day, it went crazy. It was like everybody wanted to know and wanted to comment on this Casey Anthony situation," the male Casey Anthony said.
He has been bombarded on Facebook--he estimates he's gotten at least 300 friend requests, messages, and posts, all targeted to the OTHER Casey. "Making comments about the verdict, who am I to take a child's life. And then I'm sitting back like 'excuse me, I'm not the Casey Anthony you think.' "
Then, because his profile listed his phone number, the calls started coming in. After the first few Florida area code calls, he just stopped answering. "I can't change my name ladies and gentlemen!"
Anthony spent an hour recently filtering through and deleting many of the unwanted requests and comments, mostly because he didn't want his children to see the, at-times, threatening posts. But, since 2 of his sons also share the name Casey Anthony, the whole family has already had to deal with misplaced backlash and constant teasing.
"Every night on the news I hear my name..every day, all day. People I know, family members...It went from being comical and scary to just being outright, make you mad as..you know. 'Cause these people don't even know you, they don't have a clue."
Poor guy. Well, I heard the “mother” Casey Anthony is going to change her name and her appearance, so Mr. Anthony might be able to live in peace eventually.
Poor fellas...
He should sign a $200,000 contract to appear on that moonbat Nancy Grace’s CNN show...
