I’m a big believer in circumstantial evidence. The fact this long over crime is still being obfsucated tells me that someone high up was resposible.

After all these years, you think something big will be given to us ... doubt it. Will probably be a rehash of what is already known; otherwise it would be public knowledge by now.
Not so...........that one has been bandied about for well over a century and disputed.
It has to be someone in high places, otherwise why would they worry about relatives being attacked? I mean seriously, why would anyone even care at this point — UNLESS it was a member of the aristocracy, or a close relative of someone in Parliament, or perhaps even someone in Scotland Yard itself. Nothing else makes sense, IMHO.
There was at least one named suspect who was a member of the aristocracy, but I can’t recall the name off-hand. However, that person is known to have been a suspect by “Ripperologists” - unlike the names presumably in these secret files...
Nah, a mixture of the police not being able to handle such a criminal and the ordinaryness of the Ripper, which allowed him to slip away.
