What a story. I agree, when I think of what I don’t have, I realize how much I really do.
Ribeye, baked potato with sour cream and butter, sauteed mushrooms, french bread.
Cheap frozen pizza with a vodka chaser followed by a Metformin pill 1000mg.
Rare/medium-rare salt and pepper crusted prime rib with homemade horseradish sauce, fresh peaches and cream corn on the cob with real butter, and sliced Mango with a dash of fresh ground nutmeg. Accompanied by a glass of Tulip Hill cellar select 2007 Cab-Syrah. Desert: Haagen-Dazs five Mint ice cream with homemade chocolate syrup (Dutched dark cocoa powder, Turbinado cane sugar, purified water, vanilla extract and salt).
Couldn’t find a better meal in any restaurant in Boulder County at any price.
Have no idea how cheap it is, but George Dickle is some of the finest Bourbon Whiskey ever made.
Costco stuff: grilled tri-tip steak, Fiesta Salad, rosemary olive oil bread, peaches, some kind of Argentinian red wine. Dessert was chocolate covered strawberries, which my son made all by himself.
Todays kids are put in a plastic bubble. Must have helmet, shin guards etc to ride a bike/skateboard. And special seats in the car until they a certain height and weight....Today I don't know how I would do it taking a trip with 5 kids and 3 safety belts in the back.. There were no big SUV, just an old ford....I guess I would have to have put 2 in the trunk. We all survived without the government mandates and things were a lot cheaper.
Have a great weekend.....GG
