Today is the day she may walk free. Prepare yourselves.
Call me Pollyanna, but the Judge did give FingerBoy 6 days. Hopefully he has scoured the law so she can cool her heels a little longer.
Well, gosh that response was brilliant.
Me vindicated? You have to be kidding. I think Casey is up to her eyeballs guilty of something but even the prosecutor admitted in an interview that they couldnt prove it was a murder or an accident. Neither could they prove to what extent Casey was culpable and exactly what her involvement was.
Remember what happened to Judith Regan over the OJ book?
A child is dead, last seen with the mother, decomp found in her car, child thrown away in items from her home, instead of calling to alert police to an accident she hides it for a month, and only tells then because she has to. Further yet, she never shows one ounce of fear, or pain, or concern during that time. when given the chance to tell it was an accident she lies to the extent that this becomes a national story. That is why this became so well known - not because a child was missing, that happens all the time it was her actions afterwards. No one could believe any mother anywhere could continue lie after lie after lie.
The only reason she got off is because the body wasn't found in time to determine if she chloroformed the baby, broke her neck, as she investigated ways to do on her computer, or if she died by accident.
There is no doubt she was last seen with her mother then was dead and no explanation in between. Any adult with sense could put those things together without a video proving it
“You cannot put Caseys fingers on that tape.”
Sure you can by connecting the dots if you have a brain, which this jury did not, unfortunately.
Oh, I suppose somebody could have broken into Casey’s house, stole the duct tape and used it to put around Caylee’s nose and mouth, before throwing her out to be eaten by animals.
What in the world does your comment have to do with my statement to you?
Relax...On a capital murder trial, you can’t later say oh, manslaughter...oh, ok we’ll take that one, but change the capital murder part.
The jury DID NOT say Casey had nothing to do with the crime. she was NOT aquitted of anything. The jury said, what she was charged with was NOT PROVEN by the prosecution.
BTW...keep those personal insults coming..they had so much to your arguments.ha.
I can't understand how the jury couldn't convict on at least the child abuse charge. It's textbook neglect to know your child is missing and not contact the police immediately!
I think you are right in this line of reasonng. Have you ever noticed that almost all nannies are heavyset hispanic women? If you wanted to do studies on infant humans that is the perfect disguise, especially if the mother is a slutty nutjob.
sad.
Didn't have to be death. There were lesser charges on which they could have convicted her. I agree the state didn't prove premeditation (although how does one explain the computer searches for "neck breaking" and "chloroform" and "punches to the kidney" prior to Caylee's disappearance?)
Again, hard to get any conviction when there are jurors that stated in voir dire they "didn't feel they could judge another person" and are put on a jury anyway!
False choice. They could have found her guilty of any, or all, of the first 3 charges and imposed a lesser penalty. IMHO, the evidence provided was more than enough to convict her of manslaughter, murder, or pre-meditated murder.
A convoluted jury for a convoluted criminal.
Brings up something interesting. The defense had jury consultants. I am sure they try to pick a couple strong personalities as liberal as can be, people who can sway the others. Those others probably are picked to be unassertive and easily swayed by the stronger personalities.
Most likely they got their money’s worth on this one.
I”m starting to think those who keep questioning us either are desperate for attention or never watched anything presented in this trial. I used to think the jury system worked too, until shown the “circumstantial” evidence and I was able to make my own inferences. This time, it is direct evidence that the jury was made up of idiots.
Why couldn’t George have done it? He certainly seemed guilty of something....
This case is just too upsetting. The tattoo, partying, neglect in telling anyone she was missing are enough to put her behind bars for many years........shaking head.....I just don’t understand the jury..
It won’t last. They have shown they are not good managers of money. Then Casey will have to go the porno route. Those guys will chew her up and spit her out after they have made the money off of her.
I agree with you there. I did not think there was enough evidence to warrant 1st degree murder / death penalty — although I felt it was deserved. I think the prosecution should have had more charges on the table for jury consideration. But I fail to see how counts 2 and 3 were found to be “not guilty”.
