Real simple case. Woman has baby. Baby disappears. Woman says baby is with baby sitter. No baby sitter exists.
Some time later baby's remains are found in a swamp.
The fact the woman lied about the baby in her custody is more than suspicious.
The only thing to do after that is figure out the charges.
This jury was given a wide choice of charges. They elected to decide the woman had lied to the police.
Hmm.
Not sure I'd let those folks get a mortgage!
Fur Shur I wouldn't let Casey Anthony loose in my house or around my younger relatives.
Casey Anthony was indicted by a Grand Jury, not charged by the prosecutor.
Duct tape IS a murder weapon if you chloroform the baby and tape up her mouth and nose
Yup. Isn’t OJ living in Florida?
Sentencing Thursday 9:00 AM she could be out then with time served.
Then why did her mother lie for her about the chloroform computer search?
My thoughts exactly!! What mother would have the smell of Chloroform and a dead body in her car after her daughter went missing? What mother would get a tattoo that says, life is beautiful, 2 weeks after her daughter went missing? What mother would wait 31 days to call police? And from what it sounded like to me, Casey only called police after her mother had a fit about it. I get the juror voting no on 1st degree murder. But, the no on the man slaughter charge I just don’t get.
Can they at least sterilize her?
..but my heart is heavy and hurts...hurts....hurts....
It's a wake-up call folks.
Exactly what I said when the verdict was read.
Far as I’m concerned, the case was proved beyond ANY doubt.
No kidding!!! This makes me sick to my stomach.
No, no, no.
They couldn’t say what caused the death. Technically, every single death is a heart attack. But the state has to prove that some act of the Defendant caused the death. The expert couldn’t even say what caused it from a legal point of view.
I Prosecuted for 25 years and in following this case am not the least bit surprised in the verdict. I have found that juries tend to take their assignment seriously and they will typically not fin guilt just because something looks suspicious even if it looks REALLY suspicious.
This doesn’t mean she didn’t do it, it just means that the State didn’t prove her guilt.
We don’t want that to change I wouldn’t think.
And finally, I have also learned that unless one is in the courtroom to hear all the evidence, you really don’t have a feel at all for guilt or innocence.
I’m surprised. She just had that guilty look, knowwhudimean?
the pressure got to her
No tattoo parlor will be spared scrutiny in Casey Anthony’s exhaustive search for the REAL killer.
The evidence was there, the prosecution stunk at presenting it in a cogent fashion. Same as with OJ
I agree. I’ve never worked for a circus before but I’ll bet it gets old after a couple of months. One can only take so much of watching a bunch of clowns.
Where are they going to get a pot big enough to boil her in?
I believe OJ is living in a jail cell in Nevada.
