Obviously, the two-year-old put herself into two garbage bags and a laundry, then called a taxi to take her to a swamp, and asked the driver to throw her in. We need to find that driver!!!
She is clearly a psychopath, possibly a manic-depressive... but they didn't prove that she killed the child, only that she didn't give a damn. So, they should throw the book at her for concealing evidence, lying to the court, etc., but I don't see how they could get her for Murder One.
I had been thinking she drugged and stuck the child in the trunk to go party, and perhaps duct taped her AFTER she died to keep fluids from seeping out, that were already starting to smell up her car.
But I don’t know. I didn’t really follow specifics. But I see Diane Downs when I look at her. I just hope she doesn’t have any more children, because I think she is perfectly capable of abusing another one.

I agree absolutely. I’m astounded by the number of people who believe she should have got a death penalty without any direct evidence. Her whole family is guilty of dysfunction and maybe worse, but the jury did the right thing based on the fact presented by the State.

BTW, it's way beyond suspicious when a mother won't tell you where her little girl is.
I mean no offense to the people who's life seems to have revolved around this case (I have to put a with many in my workplace), but there really are more pressing matter facing the country.

I remarked a couple of days ago that I must be one of the few in the country who has intentionally not followed this sad event and I got taken to task for expressing my opinion and reason therefore.
Considering all of the REALLY important issues ongoing, I am amazed at the amount of coverage this case has gotten and for that reason, I have not watched much news of late.
Hopefully after a few days of all the so called expert talking heads have dissected this case, and everyone offered their opinion on why the verdict was such as what we can expect in her sentencing, perhaps the Lame Stream Media (which I'm sorry to admit that Fox is among them) can focus on how our country is going to hell in a hand basket and how our FASCIST, Neo-Commie, Community Agitator is doing everything he can to destroy our Republic.
All that you need to do is to stay at a Holiday Inn Express the night before!
