Back in the 70s I paid a lot of attention to eschatology. Most of those purporting different hypotheses felt the US would be somehow diminished as a world power. I have been wondering if those thinkers were more correct than I thought at the time.

Well, I'm sure you saw me post this before, but as I listened to Rush a year ago, one particular day he said he had talked to someone nameless 'high up in the administration' and the man told Rush, "We are here to manage America's decline."

As I have said, putting it mildly, it is borderline treason.
