“”Court Clerk would make sense. Do they normally sit directly in front of the judge like that?

Is there a courtroom layout diagram or bird’s eye view to see how the seating is arranged in this case. “”

I think they do sit in front of the judge - much like those government employee types who sit in front in Congress, reading bills and overseeing the vote counts.

Tonight on HLN - just before 6 pm - they did have a layout of the courtroom. It went by really fast as that was about the time the judge called everyone back to the courtroom. I wouldn’t be surprised if they show it quite often as they need something to fill up their air time.

I thought it was odd during the trial that the prosecutor’s table and defense table weren’t side by side like they’re always portrayed on TV or in movies. LOL Remember in OJ’s murder trial, the prosecution and defense sat side by side with just their speaking position in between. Everyone was facing the court/judge. I don’t remember or if we even knew where the jury was seated.

In the courtroom for this trial, the defense table was off to the left (looking from the judge’s position) while the prosecution was seated in front of the spectator and press section - facing the judge... The defense table was directly across the room from the jury - another strange thing to me. It showed the spectator section which we didn’t see much of during the trial and it looked pretty small with a very small balcony for spectators.

Clear as a bell, right? I think the overall layout was quite a bit different from any other trial that’s been on TV - real or make believe!

I did see a quick run down of the jury box and the gallery above but it would be great to see a diagram online somewhere. I loved for it and oddly enough I came up empty.
