It’s now $11.00 to go to the movies. I have a 50 inch screen at home. Redbox is $1.00. Simple economics.

Exactly. The demographics this movie appealed to are the demographics who wait for the Redbox release, have decent to high quality home theaters and prefer to avoid the crowds and unruly behavior that has taken over movie theaters these days.

Hollywood needs to figure this out and start releasing movies on Blu-ray/DVD the following Tuesday after the theatrical release.

Don’t forget his last comment when he launched his mini-series Pacific.

We attack Japan and went to war because we were racists.

Republican comes in the dictionary just after reptile and just above repugnant.”

Julia Roberts

“We’ve elected a wise, calm man. I think the President of the United States is doing a spectacular job in the face of a brand of insanity that doesn’t make any sense to me as an American

Yes.. well, in this movie, they're just reading words that someone ELSE wrote. The movie has a lot of positive themes... entrepeneurship, chivalry, honesty...

98% of all actors are political idiots. I don't let that keep me from enjoying a decent movie.

Same here. Enough of Roberts cackle. I loathe most of today’s “actors”. Hanks produced, directed and co wrote this flop. He was hawking the show on Despierta America according to the Dailymail and by himself with D actors at the London premiere.

“My wife and I went to see this movie... I thought it was quite good, and predict it will do better than these opening figures would indicate. Word of mouth will keep it going for awhile.”

We went to see it last night. The movie made no logical sense at all. Fired for having no college? No indication that Hanks and Roberts were attracted to each other before her drunken groping? Why would Professor Roberts hook up with a poor middle aged student after dumping her porno addicted husband? And what was up with the scooter girl and the scooter gang?

Other than a good cast - other than the repulsive Roberts - wandering around, the movie was disaster.

Last time I went to a theatre there were black kids 3 rows in front of us texting the whole time. When someone asked them to stop, they got louder and more obnoxious. Usher won’t do anything and I don’t blame him. He’s 16 years old with a flashlight for protection.

Tom Hanks for a while seemed intent on remaking every Alec Guinness film. Now he takes the Rodney Dangerfield role remaking “Back to School”.

It’s an odd artistic trajectory.

I wouldn’t put a dime of my money into their pocket, even the few cents they would get from the $1.00 Redbox or Netflix.

My husband always wonders who started the rumor that Julia Roberts is a beauty?

Why would a freeper support Tom Hanks?

He has berated and demeaned everyone here.

About all the little guy’s like us can do is vote with our dollars. So we may miss out on a little entertainment. I hope everyone who paid $10+ dollars to see this movie are happy that most of that money goes to destroy America.

Why should I watch movies in an uncomfortable theater and pay highway robbery prices for both tickets and concessions?

Street thugs need people to rob.

Eight dollar boxes of popcorn will go stale.

Elite liberals looking down on conservative families at movies won't get their thrill. Lots of good reasons. /s

If I never go to a movie theater again it will be alright with me. That guy with the horrible cough who always sits right behind you. I try to avoid that guy.

Well.. that's certainly you're right. I just don't choose to join you in you're boycott.

Actually, sometimes I do... there are a several actors I try to avoid.. Sean Penn is one. But, if the movie looks like it might be entertaining? I'll still go. I like movies... And, I like to see them in the theater, as well as at home.

I have a 60" Plasma HD with surround sound... but, it's still NOT the same. The theater, is a DATE.. with my lovely wife.

I don’t keep up with these people, but did Hanks say this?

If we buy tickets we support these people and make it possible for them to go out and spew their hatred and promote their socialist views.

I’ve never understood how people could think Julia Roberts is pretty. She looks just like her brother except her mouth is bigger.

>>> My husband always wonders who started the rumor that Julia Roberts is a beauty?

Tell your husband the one to blame is Shelley Michelle. She was the professional body double who posed for the Pretty Woman poster that so successfully sold the movie. Her body, with Julia's head pasted on.
