Regardless of the verdict (which I am pretty sure will be guilty) the lives of this family are irreversibly destroyed. They lost their granddaughter. The father’s reputation was shredded, as was their son’s. I assume they had to cover the costs of at least part of the defense, so financially they are damaged. They are looking at their daughter either getting the needle or life in jail. It’s just one big nightmare they can never awaken from.
I agree. At one point, didn’t someone say they had put up their house to help pay for the expenses of defending their worthless daughter? I’m sure Cindy has lost her job right now, and who would want to hire her? Yet the looks from Casey toward her parents this past week have been nothing but evil. They lost everything to try to keep her sorry self out of jail and off of death row.
That said, it also occurs to me that a little discipline back when Casey was a wee one might have changed everything...
The lives of this family are irreversibly destroyed”.
I have wondered if George and Cindy (no matter what the verdict) won’t separate after the trial. It seems so much damage by questioning if the Father abused his daughter, killed his grandchild, had an affair etc... doesn’t place a toll on the family. Let’s just say, if they seperate.. I wouldn’t be surprised at all.
...and all from a gal who believes she has all the answers to living a good life. Not to mention the many other peoples life's she has left behind or under the path her feet have tread. And yes, Casey has basically bankrupted her family in every way.
