Wow, the hateful remarks on that website shows just how nasty libs can be. They are a source of embarrassment to this country.

Actually, those comments gave me hope that, if Texas ever were to secede, all the libs might just say, "Sure! Go ahead, you backward-ass hicks. We don't need Texas!" And then all my dreams would come true: I could live in the Republic of Texas without my sons having to die for it.

If Texas had an ocean.. and no mosquitos.. maybe.. I might vacation there. :-)

Cali's got mosquitoes, and Texas has beaches.

Yes. It’s on the Oklahoma/Texas state line. But, the water is not exactly cool. More like lukewarm bath water.

I agree. He’s leasing a home because he is building his retreat out in the boonies somewhere. When we heard Glenn was sellig his Conn home and a lot of his possessions we moved up our timetable for bugging out of the burbs to the mountains. The fact that he is moving to Texas tells me he knows something big. I’m sure people in the know call Beck and tell him stuff all the time.

maybe even a Bush next door?

Beck's place is in Westlake near Grapevine (between Dallas and Ft. Worth). Bush lives just N. of Downtown Dallas in the Highland Park area.

It’s a beautiful State. Acadia National Park is very nice for a non-wilderness scenic experience. But if you don’t like mosquitoes and you’re there in the summer don’t go in the woods! They swarm like hungry piranhas and aren’t all that much smaller. That is at least what I remember from a family vacation there many moons ago. A week’s camping on South Padre cooking fresh caught Gulf shrimp in a wok on an open fire, drinking Lone Star tall boys, is a more pleasant memory.

I think he likes the no income tax, the fact that TX was once a country, the heroic actions at the Alamo, etc.

Plus, he knows Obama tries to hurt TX at every turn, and he wants to stand with us.

I don’t know who Alice Jones is, but would bet that’s not why Beck’s moving here.

His church has always taught to be prepared. Him moving out of NY could simply be for his safety and taxes. His daughter is staying there. He said yesterday they had been looking for an apartment for her.

So, does he know something? I don’t know. I do know he showed a clip of some guy yesterday saying “buy guns, gold, cash, etc” ... this is the same guy a lot of people on here condemned. Can’t remember his name. Asian guy who advised to buy real estate a few years back.

I wish I could afford to “bug out”. I saw where there are FEMA trailers you can buy here in Houston for $3,000. I’m sure they’ll need some repair. Then the question is: How fancy do I want to go? If TSHTF there’ll be no electricity, propane, no place to plug in, so I guess all I would want is something to protect me from the elements. And the smaller the place the easier it will be to defend. My house has too many windows that I’d have to leave open without air conditioning.

The big question is: Do you really want to survive to experience what could be hell on earth?

LOL!

In Cali (and Texas) we have a critter that most folks call a mosquito hawk (crane fly). It looks like a gigantic mosquito, but it doesn't bite. One of the funniest things you'll ever see, is some newcomer flying into a panic about the "giant mosquitoes!"

What confuses me is I watched his opening show of GBTV yesterday and they are opening the office in New York. Is he commuting?

Rush had to close his office in NY while living in Florida as the state still tried taxing him as a full time resident.

In his shoes building next door to Texas rangers headquarters would be my choice.

It is technically Westlake. It borders Southlake on 2 sides and for all practical purposes is considered a “suburb” of Westlake.

Westlake almost became a part of Southlake a decade ago (long sordid story)

The advantage of Westlake is low property taxes. The GIANT disadvantage is that the communist Perot family owns the Cirle T ranch in Westlake (which makes up about half the town) and they have pledged to put in low income type housing (1/8th acre homes or smaller) on that beautiful rolling landscape.

This would be RIGHT across the Vaquero property. And you can bet your bananas that as soon as 10,000 democrats move into that low income housing, they will demand a school district and soon Westlake will have high taxes and Vaquero will be nothing more than a gated community in a hostile city depending upon the rent-a-cop at the gate to keep the hostiles out

Glad to have someone (a couple?) to cancel out one/two of the liberal voters that are running from liberalism destroyed "utopias" just to try to recreate it here.
