You can still get dishwasher soap with phosphates. You buy the commercial grade. They don’t care about your dishes at home but they know you can’ t go out to eat have cloudy glasses. Appliance Parts Bank in Huntington Beach CA. Over 5 lb box.

"Washing soda"? I saw a box of that many years ago.

Dittos to that. Got my first 5lb tub maybe 4 years ago, now working through my 10lb tub. No more white film on the top (bottom) of the glasses. 1tsp per load. Going to have a crack at the laundry with it today.
