Other than to get some reporter’s (in this case Steven Dean’s) name up in lights I would greatly appreciate someone explaining to me just why this is a newsworthy event.
He may be right, I haven’t flown Southwest in a long time, however, I think part of the problem was with him sitting there bragging that the locals were beneath his standards, the channel was jammed and ATC couldn’t speak to the other planes in the air. That made it newsworthy.
