He may be right, I haven’t flown Southwest in a long time, however, I think part of the problem was with him sitting there bragging that the locals were beneath his standards, the channel was jammed and ATC couldn’t speak to the other planes in the air. That made it newsworthy.
Stuck mikes occur all the time and in many industries. This is about some reporter getting wind of something that he could sensationalize and get his name on the national news. Nothing more than that.
