I’d rather be bit on the ass by a snaggled tooth mule.

Horses and cattle can maim or kill you in an instant. True. We love our horses, but we never completely trust them. We're always wary when walking behind them or doing anything close to their mouths. That's a powerful set of jaws. And they can put a hoof right through you if they have a mind to.

What we have here is a horse being a horse and a person being an ass.

I saw a horse boot a big fat guy across the room so fast you could barely see it happen
I will NEVER get close to the south end of a northbound horse

Was she legally blind? Maybe that was her way of looking a gift horse in the mouth.
To: Noumenon
We have 7 horses,2 we trust. But those 2 are exceptional animals, the other 5 you keep your eye on.

My sister once bit a moose, but it didn’t sue.

Digital photos, no doubt.
That, sir, is a finger biting off offense.

Occupational hazard.

I wear steel toed boots and have a pillow tied to my butt.
I assume this is only when you're feeding the horses.

Horses have long faces, y’know. They can’t see their own mouths very well and use their lips to feel for food. It’s the lady’s fault she stuck her finger out instead of flat-handing it as everyone else has noted.

It’s advisable when passing through DuPont Circle, too.

So Teresa Kerry should never feed John?

Was bitten in the face by a gelding - just hanging out between two stalls - he had a really evil look in his eyes and just attacked me. I think it was an alpha male thing.
After that incident the other kids were scared of him - but I made sure not to be fearful and would crawl under his belly before putting his saddle on. He never bit anyone again - so I don’t know for certain why he was so vicious that one time.
