DAN Aykroyd has had 21,000 bottles of vodka stolen.
The huge haul of the 'Ghostbusters' star's own brand of Crystal Head Vodka were taken from a California warehouse recently, and while he's upset at his loss, he can still see a positive side to the incident.
He told gossip website TMZ: "My partners and I are sorry to lose this much vodka to theft and do not condone criminal activity in any fashion, but we are happy that some consumers will be afforded the opportunity of tasting it at significantly lower than retail price."
Dan's spirit - which is a joint venture with artist John Alexander - is inspired by the controversial archaeological mystery of 13 crystal skulls, which have been discovered in locations around the world and date between 5,000 and 35,000 years old. The skulls were supposedly polished into shape from solid quartz chunks over a period of several hundred years and give positive energy to whomever possesses them.
The brand's website states: "Crystal Head is vodka like no other, for a life like no other. An exploration of extraordinary people, places, and ingredients. Beginning with an archaeological mystery dating back thousands of years, we arrive at the deep, glacial waters of Newfoundland, Canada.
"We continue on to discover the unique crystals of Herkimer, New York before finally making our way into the hands of unique individuals like yourself."
The Los Angeles Police Department LAPD and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms are investigating the robbery.
>>Zul the gatekeeper fell asleep on the job.<<
Next time, when asked “are you a god?” say YES! Otherwise they take all the vodka.
pricey Vodka is 90% about the glass and Akroyd to his credit has the coolest
I have an unopened bottle on the fireplace mantle as a piece of art
Wifey drinks vodka...for the money...Sobieski is best...or Svedka
for pure taste and smoothness....Grey Goose..or Prichards
but Vodka ain’t Red Wine...you really don’t get what you pay for

Wow! Had wifey #1 done the same she could have put a meal or 2 on the table!
No problem; just stake out the markets and look for someone stealing 21,000 bottles of orange juice.
Vodka used to be my drink of choice. Plain. Nothing else. No water, no lime, no lemon, no mixers. It’s a polish thing in our family. If you mix your vodka, it aint worth drinking (or so the old family adage was).
And plain Stoli’s was my favorite. Room temperature. No ice.
I couldn’t stomach any flavored vodka’s, and the grey goose types were just coming on the market when I quit drinking, so I never really had a chance to try them.
But, grey goose and such have nice ads, and when I do think about goin back to booze (which is rare) it’s because of some slick vodka commercial.... everytime.
BTW, the crappiest Vodka I ever drank was a gift. Absolute. I forever more called it Absolute Crap, but I see now in the grocery store they have dummied it up with flavors.
Well, I take that back. The ABSOLUTE worst vodka is beefeaters. I think even hobo’s pass that stuff up.
What is the smallest bottle of this stuff they sell? ... I’ll taste it, and have a discriminating sense, but I suspect it’s just another alcohol ... unless its made with real potaotes. I can taste the difference in real potato vodka and grain alcohol called vodka. I suspect Dan could care less so long as sales increase on his grain alcohol.

Wasn't he great in Celtic Pride? What a great film. Almost as good as Couch Trip. /s
that is a spiffy looking bottle though.
gotta have a booze label nowadays
sammy hagar has some tequila I think, and even Ron Jeremy has some sort of booze “shudders”.
Only Beefeaters, I ever had was gin.
My wife was a gin drinker. Always reminded me of Pine Sol.
“Only Beefeaters, I ever had was gin.”
I think their vodka name is Burrows (buroughs? burroghs?). They sell it in Europe, and it was popular on our base in Germany, because it was dirt cheap. Like the euro-version of Mad Dog 20/20. They used to mix it with the powdered Gator-Aid that the Army supplied.
You could strip floors with it.
Cabo Wabo. The $60+ a bottle stuff is as smooth as battery acid can get. Had a Margarita with it in Cabo at his/the old Van Halen bar in 2000 at the finish line of the Baja 2000.
Good times ;)
Grey Goose or Ketel One for me. When I drink with my Polish friends it’s vodka and pickle juice. An acquired taste!
Vodka and pickle juice is what the old folks used to drink. Now, I’m nearly 50, and that is what some of the old timers would drink in the taverns when I was a youngin.
I don’t think I ever tried it.
That and a huge jar of pickled eggs on the counter. And beer with tomato juice or a raw egg in it.
BTW, every Chicago neighborhood used to have its own tavern, and you could tell what type of neighborhood you were in, by the tavern. Well, they all had Old Style signs on the door, but I mean, they would be Irish, or Polish or German.
Daley closed down most of those bars, but they were a fixture here in Chicago for many many years. You could always find the men in the neighborhood at the tavern. Wooden walk in coolers, wood floors, old scarred up bars.
To this day, I can recall the smell of the neighborhood bar from when I would go get the old man and bring him home.
Another funny thing, the beer drinkers all drank their beer in these little glasses. I bet they were like 4 oz tiny glass cups, with a shot on the side. I reckon the beer was more of a chaser than anything else.
When I got back from the service, I wanted nothing to do with them old time taverns, and by the time I did, they had all but closed down, and the neighborhoods became diversified.
That vodka and pickle juice sent me on a trip down reminisce lane. Thanks for that!
Crystal Skull the drink for pro-death people..
