A new ad for Cadbury chocolate is leaving a bitter taste with Naomi Campbell. The supermodel is looking at "every option available," including legal action, in response to a promotion that compares the celebrity to a Dairy Milk Bliss bar.
The ad reads, "Move over Naomi, there's a new diva in town," and shows the candy bar nestled in diamonds. The campaign ran in supermarkets and newspapers in the U.K.
Campbell told the U.K. newspaper the Independent, "I am shocked. It's upsetting to be described as chocolate, not just for me, but for all black women and black people. I do not find any humor in this. It is insulting and hurtful."
The star, who has been the center of controversies in the past (forced community service for hurling a cellphone at her maid comes to mind), is this time being backed by the British organization Operation Black Vote. The group called on the U.S. company Kraft, which owns Cadbury, to apologize and is considering a boycott of the company's products. Worse, Naomi's mom is mad.

Junior caramels? Sounds good-Cadbury’s caramello was a good inexpensive caramel filled bar-I had forgotten about that bar till just now, and it used to be one of my favorites.
So she’s assuming the ad is about her? A little self-centered, I’d say.
I have to say I was actually surprised when, upon reading the article, I found out that Naomi’s beef (can I say that?) with the ad was that it compared her to chocolate, like the color or . . . something.
That honestly never occurred to me.
I thought she was mad because they used her name in something as non-super-model-ish as a candy bar commercial.
Please, lady. Get over yourself.
Okay, I’m looking at this ad and first of all, I don’t think “Wow, it’s about Naomi Campbell.”
Then, if I do think “Naomi Campbell,” I think, “this is a poke at her over her ridiculous recent diamond scandal.”
That is all.
I don’t even think chocolate, the food, much less chocolate the whatever-Naomi-was-mad about kind.
It's all about making fun of Naomi's diva-ness regarding the diamonds.
That is all.
Naomi is a little crazy too.
Oh, noooooooooo!
Someone thinks she’s delicious, and she doesn’t like it.
Things are light years beyond too prissy/sensitive these days.
