The key word in this report is “Domestication”. Just about Everything we eat has been Domesticated. The question is “who did the Domesticating”?. Evolution on its own only produces things that are wild and “UN-Domesticated”.

Surprisingly enough, one of the best books, IMO, written about the Viet Nam war was written by a US AID man whose job was helping the locals grow rice. He worked closely with the worlds premier rice authority, which was/is in the Philippines. The book was about his doing his job ion the face of the VC political cadre terrorizing the farmers for co-operating and the U.S. troops coming to fight the war. They were stuck in the middle.
I have the book somewhere on my shelves;unfortunately I cannot remember the exact name of it.
I'm a VN Vet and went through a period, during the late '70s and through the '80s of getting and reading every book I could find about Viet Nam.
Also, some of the best rice in the world is grown in Texas, U.S.A.
