Well you get my meaning. It wasn’t utopia, but they turned out ok..

I got sick of the lesbianism and adultery storylines of the prior season. They were not well done. I would ff4 through them.

Heinlein and Dick could handle complex sexual relationship issues fairly well in a sci-fi setting, most cannot. And Heinlein never translates well to screen.

It’s like the Bible, the old school part. 99.8% of folks who study the Bible don’t really understand the sexual relationships in that. They overly simplify them. Make them toyish and fake.

That was last week's epi. They did do a lousy job on Nixon. I didn't find the actor believable. I may be spoiled by RMN's "head" in Futurama, though.

The way I took the Mark Sheppard/homosexual marriage throw in at the end was as a gratuitous slap at fans that didn't like its infusion into the character of the Doctor.

It goes back to Eccleston tenure, iirc.

Thanks for the correction. I came in late to watch, but after I saw that Nixon-Who scene, I stopped watching, probably the next time slot would have been current week’s show.

I havent noticed any homosexual agenda propoganda since Moffatt took over as head writer.

I thought the depiction of Nixon was pretty good. After all, if he DID get to see and travel in the Tardis it would surely explain why there were so many cut out bits from the Whitehouse tapes!

To be sure I didn’t see the whole episode, only the last five-ten minutes. It looked liked something interesting, but I was KO’ed fan-wise by the scene I mentioned.

I liked it. Unanswered questions for me (since I missed a couple of episodes): What exactly is the Observers purpose? Is Fringe a giant cosmology experiment and the Observers are the hypothetical ‘observers’ one always hears about in those horribly complicated physics thought experiments? The machine confuses me - I think I missed some episodes that explained more about that. If Peter never existed, then how is the Olivia/Fauxlivia conflict going to be resolved? Same for Walter/Walternate.

I hope Fringe doesn’t end up like Lost. The end of Lost was somewhat anticlimatic and didn’t quite live up to the rest of the series.

It wasn’t that bad a dig - and in the rest of the episode Nixon came over as rather a commanding figure. The actor didnt look very much like Nixon, even with some superb make up, but I thought he had his mannerisms down ok.

Thanks, I’ll have to see if that episode is in the schedule so I can DVR it.

"I think that Stargate will be picked up another studio my guess is Sony.."

That would be awesome. I won't hold my breath though - they'd have to come up with a brand new series, since most actors on SGU and SGA have moved on. :(

Sigh. If only they had more "Ming Na/lesbian - Young/wife/Teleford love triangle using the stones" stories, the show might have been saved. It wasn't until they started having cool space stories/battles/time travel that the show got cancelled.

And yes, it is a font.

Did Fringe just "jump the shark"?

NO WAY! The show keeps getting better, at least from a hardcore sci-fi fan kinda way. I didn't like the show when it was just another X-Files, but when someone told me it had an alternate universe story arc, I decided to watch it. Fringe is now my favorite show. All of my computers and my phone now have Ourlivia and Coolivia (my names for them) wallpapers.

Stargate : Perverts in Space will be back?

Please give this "meme" a rest.
For one thing, it's inaccurate. The only "pervert", if I assume your definition correctly, has been celibate while in space.

A minor part of the show. I realize that it annoys you, but you make it sound as though this were the entire thrust of the show.

I kind of like the new Dr Who, gives me a retro feeling, doesn’t take itself too seriously
