On the 'rapture' - I can't believe that man trying to set a date for such a thing - particularly in light of biblical cautions.
Here's a couple:
'...that day (that Christ is at hand) shall not come except... that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition...sitting in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.' - 2Thes, 2.
and another: 'When you see the Abomination of Desolation... stand in the Holy Place... for then shall be great tribulation.... but of that day and hour knoweth no man, but my Father only.' - Mat, 24.
There is the scripture about being 'caught up' - from whence came the idea of a 'rapture' - 1Thes 4, 16-17.
Though I'd like to think there might be a reprieve for end-time Christians, I don't find an early (pre or mid tribulation) 'rapture' in scripture, though I've read about the topic for many years.
Lastly and perhaps most significantly, the Day of The Lord comes, '...when they shall say, Peace and safety' - and sometime after Satan's minion has made his claim to be God.
Now, think about Obama in that very role... he's arrogant enough to fit the bill, imho.
Yes. I agree with everything you wrote.
Good morning, Everybody! It is another gorgeous morning here in east central Alabama. We're expecting it to be a bit warm, a good day to lounge in the pool.
Prayers for those in the mid-west affected by the tornados.
