And this might be why he never runs... not the F-bombs... it sounds like Trump has the quintessential rich politician problem: Vietnam.
According to a new document unearthed by The Smoking Gun: Donald Trump received 4 student deferments, and one medical deferment, which is in contradiction to a previous quote explaining his draft status: I actually got lucky because I had a very high draft number. Ill never forget, that was an amazing period of time in my life.
Technically, that doesn't have to be a lie. Eventually Trump got a high draft number, but it appears that it's definitely not the only way he avoided the war.
Again, that Vietnam service has been an issue for many candidates is known to everyone, and for someone who was born wealthy -- and going to Wharton at the time -- the deferrals look worse.

Besides, conservatives should not be defending a scumbag like Trump anyway.
He spoke to the lottery period and mentioned his high number. You even agree it's a fact.
When people call something a lie that isn't a lie it dilutes the power of the charge.
You claim he's a "draft dodger." Was he ordered to report? Did he lie, cheat, beg and break commitments like Bill Clinton?
This "bombshell" shows a man who has commented often on his "great education" got student deferments? I'm shocked! Shocked!
That's how Barack got elected to the Senate - his opponent pulled out after his divorce records were unsealed.
hey you didn’t finish the rest of the statement, just pick out what you want to huh. Tellñs me everything I need to know about you too.
Let me ask you something. Why did you take exception with my post at #8, but ignored the earlier post at #4?
++ The left is going to keep picking at him, just as they did Palin, difference is he has the lawyers and the clout to go back at them.
His subsequent reclassification to 4-F makes me think that the 1-Y was for legitimate medical reasons.
Did BHO register for the draft?
Oh. Didn’t he have to register? They stopped the draft but had everyone register for a few years afterward, but I’m not sure when it ended.
Here it is:
and of course there are “problems” with it
I want to see Trump's medical records dating back to his 4-F medical disqualification.
Rush Limbaugh was 4-F, he was not a “draft dodger”.
By the way avoiding military service is the same whether it is 1970 or 1990 or 2010, funny how even many none veteran conservatives only want to count the Vietnam war, which ironically, was overwhelmingly fought by volunteers, not draftees.
I never said he was a draft dodger.
It looked like you were throwing him in with them to me, I thought it made sense to include you in the ping.
I looked it up earlier. In the 72-73 time frame when they ended the draft, they ended the 1-Y classification and moved everyone in 1-Y to 4-F. It seems if was a bureaucrat paper shuffling thing and the individual never even knew that happened.
The guy could have a hay fever problem of a case of psoriasis that the SS deemed 1-Y before and changed to 4-F without even looking at him again.
It does not mean he was not able to serve. It just means they didn't want to deal with accommodating that particular condition. In WWII, they were no where near as accommodating.
You’re forgiven.
All 1-Y's became 4-F's in December of 1971 automatically. So just because one was reclassified to 4-F doesn't mean that one was legitimately classified originally as a 1-Y.
I would like to see the records of Trump's September 1968 physical exam to see if his October 1968 1-Y classification was legitimate.
So you just refused to serve in the military?
What, you just get released and now you’re back with your bullshit? It was better when you were gone.
I don’t know what the personal attack is about, I was only trying to make sense of your misleading post that was giving the impression that good Americans did not care about military service and patriotism when it was your time to serve, and so it justified your decision to avoid military service, if indeed you never ended up serving.
You never served in the military?
