I am just guessing here but isn’t how much gas I buy pretty much related to far I drive?
The idea is that rural folks might be buying very high miles-per-gallon cars, thereby “cheating” the government by using more road for less money than their less efficient counterparts.
Get it?
See, they want to concentrate us all in government controlled housing in government-controlled cities, where consumption of water, power, and other necessities of life can be monitored and regulated, even on a per-household basis.
That’s what they REALLY want.
