Donald Trump slammed Robert De Niro Monday, following the Oscar-winner’s criticisms of him this weekend, telling Fox News that the actor is “not the brightest bulb on the planet.”
“I like his acting, but in terms of when I watch him doing interviews and various other things, we’re not dealing with Albert Einstein,” Trump told “Fox & Friends” Monday. “He can say what he wants but the fact is that this guy has not revealed his birth certificate, a lot of people agree with me.”

Trump is wonderfully vicious in his counter attacks, much like he did to that idiot Rosie O’Donnell a few years ago. He just cuts quickly and deeply and moves on...and his responses are always dead on.
His attacks on Rove this past week were nothing short of perfect, and resonate perfectly with a wide number of Republican voters frustrated with the last years of the Bush presidency.
Hey De Niro, STFU and act. Noone cares what you think about anything! I am so tired of these Hollywood types! Enough!!
I am not enthused about the messenger, “The Donald”.
But he is probably the only one who can carry the message!
Can you imagine the uproar that would occur if a GOP candidate had called one of the “Beautiful People” stupid like “The Donald” just did? The “horror” of it would be discussed from “The View” to the TV news shows to all the “talking heads political shows”.
Then to ask that segment for their opinion on national affairs?

Maybe DiNiro can call some other actors who also always play gangsters,,, and they can do an interpretive dance play about how much they hate Trump.

This just shows that “The Donald” is not a serious candidate IMO. I mean, we all know that Deniro is a stupid dufus when it comes to all things political. Quite frankly, does anyone really care what Deniro thinks about when it comes to politics? He’s a political lightweight. So, why do you respond to that? Trump has just elevated Deniro as if his opinion matters.
Robert DiNiro is the second best actor I have ever seen. Bill Clinton is the best.
In these days where more young people get their news from Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" and form their world view from what they hear celebrities spout on about, it does matter.

You left out that they are also coddled and have their butts kissed by everyone after they make it “big”. These people have way too much influence on society...especially with younger people.

I’m under no delusions that Trump is a conservative. But that is pretty freaking funny.
My puppies are currently trying to retrieve their chewie from a rather nasty feral cat that I am in the process of taming.
I shall play with the dogs, and impose physical order and discipline unto the feral till she gets nice... Or... otherwis. We have more.

My thoughts exactly. When I read what he said about DeNiro, I instantly thought he’s giving her the Rosie treatment. My favorite Trump line about Rosie... “the mind is weak.”
