Quite frankly, does anyone really care what Deniro thinks about when it comes to politics? In these days where more young people get their news from Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" and form their world view from what they hear celebrities spout on about, it does matter.

Would those be the same young people that never vote? Sure, there was a slight uptick in the 2008 Presidential election of young people voting for "the cool black guy". Even, I'm ashamed to say one of my kids who claims to be conservative. But since that same "cool black guy" has been President while they can't find a job, I suspect they won't be coming out in the same numbers for him in 2012.

Which is why the MSM - Williams - manufactured the Deniro event - no need to ask him about anything but acting, and his film festival. But they knew they could get a good quote out of him.

Most young people don't know who d’niro is .Those that do could care less what a geezer thinks .
