"A recent survey conducted on 400,000 people in which 52% of respondents were self-described PC (Windows) people, 25% were Mac users and 23% were neither showed that Mac users are more politically liberal than their PC-using counterparts. 58% of Mac users were 'liberal,' as compared to 38% of PC users. Amongst other things, the survey also indicated that Mac users were, on average, more urban, younger and more educated than PC users, which could potentially be a contributing factor toward being more liberal."
IIRC Rush Limbaugh uses a Mac...
Blasphemers. LOL
Does this actually surprise anyone? Most mac users I know bought one because “it’s not a windows machine so I’m not supporting GREEEEEDDDDD”.
Fools. They are living examples of capitalism and market forces in action. Personally, I think that the government is in a much better position to decide for them which computing platform is better for them. The government decides....Windows. Take it and be happy. (do I really need a sarcasm tag?)

Don’t care. I will NEVER go back to Windows.
Any studies of which group takes this stuff most seriously?
What about those of us who use both?
Anybody who would refuse to use the tools that works best for them because of who else uses it is think like a liberal.(sung in a wimpy voice.) Feelings, nothing more than feelings.
Yah, and we all know Apple is not about GREEEEEEEEDDDD. Apple users are supporting Chinese employment, not to mention landfill operators because the batteries aren't replaceable. Talk about planned obsolescence!

Somebody could cross-post this on DU and compare results...
You're more liberal than you are. You better watch yourself around here.
What company conducted the survey?
Would that be the exception that otherwise smart people occasionally do a dumb thing?
The free market has no allegiance to the left or right. Buy what is best for you at the best price.
Let the idiots on the left ban whatever and try to live without it. And if they offend too many on any side and lose market share, they will have learned a lesson through starvation.
That's not a knock on Macs. It's a tribute to effective marketing. I'm sure there are people who have perfectly good practical reasons for preferring Macs. But I'm also sure that a lot of home uses have just bought the brand.
I'm a keep it simple guy myself. I got used to using a Windows machine at the office. When I got a home computer, I got another Windows machine just to be sure that everything was compatible. That was many years ago, and I've never had any reason to change. If I had more demanding uses, my mileage might differ.
I remember Rush saying, somewhat accurately, back in the day when there was a big hulabaloo about Windows 94, "Windows 94 equals Mac '89".
Mac had a much better user interface than Windows, but hefty boutique prices and less software available. It is amazing the degree to which some people resent Bill Gates but give Steve Jobs a complete pass. I use windows for better compatibility and generally lower prices, but I can see the appeal of Macs. My first PC was a Mac Plus back around 1986 for about $2500, used. When I toy with Macs at Best Buy, I realize that if I go back to Mac I'll need to relearn the user interface. I actually had a FORTRAN complier on the Mac and wrote toy programs to amuse my daughter. I also used it with "Numerical Recipes in FORTRAN" to code things like FFTs and such. I really got a good intuitive feel for a lot of numerical programming using my Mac. Windows used to come with MicroSoft Basic, but no more. Since Office for home use is only $100 smackers, I've learned to use Excel 2007 VBA for home projects.
