On Atkins right now since 1-26-2011 and have lost 24 pounds nearly effortlessly. You don’t have to be hungry you just have to basically stop eating processed carbs, mostly sugar. Sugar is the enemy of man. I am so much healthier now, in fact I’ve normalized my BP and no longer take the meds for it. All in a matter of about 3 months- incredible. I’ll
defend Dr. Atkins any day

Same here. Just lost 28 lbs and used Atkins the last 2 weeks and lost 12 of those 28. Feel fantastic and bacon and eggs for breakfast is a great thing. Bacon is awesome. I repeat...Bacon is awesome!
Mt doctor encouraged it and he himself is a high protein/low carb guy.

good for you. when i eat as you, i can go on extended vacations on come home weighing the nice low amount as weighed before vacation, with out starving myself. i just eat protein, veggies, limited if at all fruit (berries or apple mainly) and very limited carbs. I also exercise regularly and weight train, but i don’t have to work out much when on vacation if i eat this way. add sugar and carbs to my life and we have a woman easily 10-20 lbs heavier with severe mood swings. is the sugar worth it? no. it is worth going through the withdrawals and eating as you suggested as a way of life. i also have much more natural energy.
