My middle son is a (straight) professional actor in a major metropolitan area. He asked me to name my favorite movie fights/action pics of all time. I figured I'd put it to the FReeper community of military, martial arts, movie buffs and various masters of mayhem to help come up with the best of the best.
Im sure most folks here arent fans of Matt Damon the philosopher/political pundit....but his fight scenes in the Bourne movies are pretty damn great.

Bar scene in Out for Justice.
Gunfight-Heat
Best fight film ever?
Security video of Bill and Hillary in WH bedroom the night the Monica story broke!
If a one sided fight is OK, then Goodfellas where they beat Billy Bats to death. Or at least close to death since he was alive in the trunk of Ray Liotta’s car.
I’d have to give honorable mention for the same movie when Ray Liotta beats the living daylights out of his girlfriend’s neighbor that had the nice Vette. Gun to temple, what more could you ask for?
Oh yeah...
Arthur fights the Black Knight in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Excellent pic! Great action!
scenes from jackie chans drunken master and shanghai noon.
Benny “The Jet” Urquidez and John Cusack in Grosse Point Blank.
Yes, really, watch it.
The Jet trained Patrick Swayze for Road House.
This was my very first thought upon reading the header.
I vote for it 5 times.
All bow down to Rowdy Roddy!
For a quick, one shot scene, how about the one where John Wayne in “The Sons of Katie Elder?” He picks an axe handle off the floor and brings it up in an arc and catches the bad guy full in the jaw.
Bump to your #5!
...................It's just a flesh wound!
And Olive saves Popeye. YAY!
HA!
However, the movie "True Lies" jumps out as a really good action movie--fights (even girl on girl!), chases (horse vs. motorcycle), guns, explosions, missiles, a really good bridge scene, and just to top it off, a nuclear bomb!
That's the one with the White House china flying everywhere, right? Lol!
That IS another great scene! Isn't this also the Bourne movie where--when he's awaken by some police after sleeping on a park bench, Bourne is prodded and proceeds to kick the crap out of them with his newly-discovered "skills!"
Correct, of course, but that's how the question was put to me so I figured he had a reason for asking it that way. Actors are weird, even my own son. ;0)
